Summary:

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms typically begin three to fourteen days after infection. These may include a high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash. Recovery generally takes two to seven days. there are four serotypes found in the country ranged form den-1 to den 4. More recently upsurge of the cases are observed. Study will include information about the population of all ages. The study participants will be recognized as a patient affected with dengue which was confirmed by laboratory test or confirmed by clinical criteria. Study populace who is not a confirmed dengue case will be excluded. Study that includes animals or insects as participants will be excluded. This review will include all types of original research articles including except review article, case reports and Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) or any quasi-experimental articles. Excluded study design: other systematic reviews, conference proceedings and non-academic papers will not be included. Furthermore, articles for which full-text cannot be found will be excluded. Study that describe the characteristics of confirmed dengue cases and were studied in Bangladesh will be included in this review. Study conducted other than Bangladesh even including Bangladeshi population will be refrained from inclusion. No restriction on study setting such as hospital or home treatment or urban/rural population.
